Ryan over at If It’s Movies has been communicating with the keepers of Sublime, hoping that one day the legendary Long Beach band would make its way into his favorite (and mine!) rhythm game, Rock Band 2. Pre-release of the game everything was looking good for the band’s inclusion, with their management telling him to keep his eyes open for the games release in fall 2008. As we all know Rock Band 2 saw release, without a Sublime track. Instead, GH:WT nabbed “Santeria” from the bands eponymous third album. Fearing the worst, Ryan asked for an update, and quickly got his answer…
Hey Man,
For whatever reason, Rock Band has not figured out just how much people love Sublime. They had asked the band to be a part of the last version, then pulled out at the last minute.
On the other hand, Guitar Hero is using more songs of Sublime’s in future releases. Can’t tell you which songs and when, but there will be more.
I’ll pass on the info to the people who do Rock Band and maybe they’ll wise up.
Peace!!
Sublime MGMT
Ugg. C’mon HMX. No more Nickelodeon songs! Bring on the Sublime already!
Waxylinks to a 13 year-old phenom’s 100% full-combo vid of one of the hardest songs in Guitar Hero 3, The Devil Went Down to Georgia, calling it “the most impressive GH video” he’s ever seen. Meanwhile, Vixeniita and her band of misfit Rock Band virtuosos players full-band-full-combo 100% one of the hardest guitar songs available for Rock Band (check out that brutal pattern), and not only do they look good doing it - they sound good doing it as well.
And thier prolific too, with 9 more full-band-full-combo 100%’s here. Solo achievements are for the kids nowadays, just like Guitar Hero. Your move, Andy.

Open for business! This place is for discussing rock-based rhythm games (anything with a plastic guitar, at minimum - but primarily Rock Band) and the culture surrounding them. There also might be a healthy dose of bitching and moaning - so buyer beware. Before I begin, here are the rules I aim to follow:
1) Promptly post all product announcements, including DLC.
2) Review all related purchases, including DLC.
3) All rumors will be considered true until proven false.
4) All bull-shit will be called out in public. Keep it as real as possible.
5) The Rules can change at any time, without notice.
